The CAA Counselor-In-Training program is a leadership development opportunity for 9th-11th graders led by Camp All-American leadership and staff.

Students will be challenged to grow as leaders while developing the skills, knowledge, and Christ-like character for which CAA counselors are so well known.

This program is the perfect last step toward the CAA counselor position and a respectable professional future!

The week involves a unique development experience for each age-group team, engaging service hours, and pertinent spiritual and professional training for their transitional stage of life.

CIT Sample Schedule (1)

CIT Overview:

AGE: 9th - 11th grade (grade just completed)

RATIO: 10-12 CIT to 1 Team Leader

PRICE: 9th and 10th graders - $350 / 3 weeks with a non-refundable $25 registration fee

  • May 31st – June 17th

  • June 20th – July 8th

  • July 11th – July 29th

11th graders: non-refundable $25 registration fee only

Note: 11th graders are eligible for the CIT Internship Program. 11th graders should be registered for camp like normal. In the registration, one of the required forms is the application to the CIT Internship. Each registrant will then be interviewed for the program. Interns will be paid a stipend of $125 per week.

The CIT program is broken into three major parts: Training, Camp Experiences, and Work Blocks. Each of these divisions is specifically designed to equip high school students with the knowledge, skill, and character needed to be one of CAA’s elite counselors in the future!

DATES: 10 weeks to choose from beginning June 1st to August 6th.

What To Wear?

CITs should come ready to play hard, have fun, and get dirty! No sandals of any kind, please.

You will be given a schedule ahead of time to know what days to pack a swimsuit and towel.

Food & Drink

Participants should bring lunch packed in an insulated lunch box with an ice pack Monday through Friday. CIT Campers must have a refillable water bottle every day. Camp All-American strictly enforces a no-nut policy for the safety of our campers with allergies.
